Canoe Pullers - Harvesting Hope Auction Event

Six lucky winners of the Rotary auction item participated as canoe pullers on the Salmon Dancer, owned by Swinomish tribal chairman Brian Cladoosby. Susan Macek and Dave Buchan; Tamera and Gary Tollefson; Darcy and Steve Wells were guest pullers.
Departing from the private launch on Channel Drive, the Salmon Dancer, launched into the Swinomish Channel on an overcast Sunday afternoon. Canoe skipper, Brian Cladoosby and his crew, Marty Cladoosby, Kevin Paul (honorary skipper), Jason Paul and Michael Paul. The pullers received instruction on holding a canoe paddle and pulling a canoe prior to departure. They were clocked at 4 mph heading south toward the Town of LaConner.
