La Conner Rotary members welcomed members of the community to a casual Ice Cream Social last week at the La Conner Civic Garden Club.
We were one of several sponsors hosting information booths and handing out delicious Lopez Island Creamery Ice Cream Sandwiches. If you haven’t enjoyed one of these deluxe treats yet, search one out; they are worth the hunt!
9 clubs and organizations hosted the tables in an effort to inform new and old community members about the opportunities available in our organizations.

Attendees were able to talk with representatives about club missions and service organizations' focus. As an added benefit, members of the different groups were able to network. The discussions were lively. All agreed we should continue this sort of outreach as we all work on engagement and membership.
