The Rotary Club of La Conner has initiated a year-long plan to offer C.P.R. classes to the
community members and business employees of La Conner and Swinomish. Four classes
have been scheduled, the first was completed in August for LCSD personnel. All classes will be
taught in the high school library and last 2 to 3 hours.
The classes have the support of both of our fire chiefs, Aaron Reinstra, Chief of the La Conner
Fire Department and Wood Weiss, chief of Fire District 13.
The classes will be taught by Chief Weiss and District 13 CARES firefighters/EMTs. In addition
to CPR , instructions in basic first aid and the operation of AEDs will be included. There is no
cost for these classes.
