One major part of our Fund a Need during our auction was to support principal grants. Every principal in the La Conner School District received $1000 for them to use to help any child in need so that child is more comfortable at school and more readily able to learn. These may include new shoes, a coat, glasses, notebooks, funds for sports or a field trip, etc. Both the principals and Rotarians were emotional to be able to offer these new grants. The intent is to maintain them annually.
